Lever Chain Puller Hoist
- Also known as 'come-a-long chain hoist'

- Pullers equipped with overload protection & automatic brake engagement
- The principle of overload protection brake engagement is the same on both lever pullers & chain blocks
- The unit has an adjustable friction disk, adjusted at the factory, that when engaged produces a friction force between the disk and lever
- Each unit is tested twice; The first is a standard proof-load test, the second is used to set the friction disk brake engagement
- Example: A 1.5 Ton block is first proof-loaded to 1.5x the WLL (1.5 x 1.5 = 2.25 ton), then is tested again to 1.3x the WLL (1.5 x 1.3 = 1.95 ton)
- If the hoist is taken above this load the friction disk will engage, and the hoist will not lift
